Day 179 ~ Last Day of School

School's out for summer!
Let's celebrate with some IceCaps for the parents, And Subs for the kids last school lunch.
Okay, so it's not the biggest way to celebrate. But hey, at least we didn't take our excitement as far as the streaker did! Yes, you read that correctly. We have a streaker in town. For a small town we seem to have a lot craziness going on around here lately.
The news about the 'on the loose snake', and now nakedness.

Day 173 ~ Hotdogs For A Good Cause

When you are 4, does there have to be a reason to want a Hot dog?
I took the twins down to the Royal Bank today for the charity BBQ to raise money for cancer. For $5.00 you got a hot dog, bag of chips and a bottle of water.
It's a small price to pay for the big smiles it brought to their faces!

Day 167 ~ Zzzz

Traffic was insane trying to leave Niagara Falls last night. We were an hour just in the parking lot. Here are the boys before we even left the parking lot.
It was after midnight so I didn't even cheat here.

Day 166 ~ Walking The Line!

We headed down to Niagara Falls today to watch the tightrope walking stuntman.
Today was the big day for Nik Wallenda!
This will be the first time anyone has attempted to walk on a tightrope over the actual waterfall since 1859 the acrobat Charles Blondin crossed the gorge on a tightrope, but his stunt was downstream from the actual waterfall.
The big question is will he stay tethered? And yes he did.
Did anyone happen to see my boys on the Channel 4 news? The news anchor interviewed them. She also asked Devon and I, "if Nik had decided to go untethered, would we still have brought the kids down to watch?" Hmm, tricky question really. My response, "If Nik is confidant enough to let his 2 children watch, then I'm OK with mine watching". (hope that doesn't make me a bad parent)
Here he is just feet away from finishing!
So glad we made the trip down to watch. How many times will you ever see something like that?

Day 165 ~ Sprinkles = Smiles!

Our play date was sadly cancelled today. How do you make up for that?
You get the kids sprinkle doughnuts instead of the usual Tim Bits and go play at the park.

I don't know about ferocious, but he sure does look cozy.
We saw this cutie in someones front window while out for a walk this morning. Basking in the sun on a ledge in between the couch and window.

Day 162 ~ You Snooze...You Lose!

This Oreo ice cream sandwich has been sitting in the freezer for a week now!
I bought a 4 pack (one for each of us) and Devon left for baseball and never had his. I reminded him a couple of times over the last week that his was still in the freezer (that's fair, right?). Well, the way I see it is if it's still there after a week, it's free for the taking!
A stolen Oreo ice cream sandwich really does taste better! Thanks Hun!

Day 154 ~ Am I Cheating?

It's no secret, I love Baileys in my weekend coffee's. However, recently a friend introduced me to Dooley's. If you haven't tried it yet, you really should.
*hangs head in shame*
I just have this strong feeling of guilt overwhelming me with every sip. For so long it has been me and my Bailey's, and now I have a new love.
I think the only fair thing to do is drink two cups of coffee each morning. One with my first love Bailey's, and one with my new love Dooley's.
I know, I know, it's going to be a sacrifice on my part. I'm willing to take one for the team.

Day 151 ~ Clematis

Joanne's flower now lives on in my back yard. Before Frank moved he offered me his late wifes favorite garden flower. Devon and My brother-in-law got to work and dug it up and replanted it for me.
It looked a little sad last year after being moved, which worried me a bit.  I'm more than happy to report it is now thriving and blooming nicely!
